QLP’s vision is to create opportunities to connect, collaborate, learn, showcase and network through events, workshops, classes and live performances. We are inclusive, accessible and especially encourage and prioritize participation from members of groups that are historically, persistently, and systemically underrepresented including: Indigenous, Black and People of Colour; people identifying as LGBTQ2AI+ and/or non-binary; people living with visible and invisible disabilities; and members of other equity seeking groups. All are welcome.
It is with a grateful heart and deep gratitude that this business is grown with the intention to contribute to the vibrancy and expansion of the BC music landscape with a special focus on supporting women in music, standing for equity, inclusion, accessibility, safety and especially showcasing underrepresented music genres including reggae, dancehall, afro-beat, hiphop, soul, r&b and Indigenous Music.
QLP strives to support music with higher intention to spread love, build community resilience, lift audiences up and raise the vibration. Message music. Authenticity.
As a community minded and grassroots business, we are consistently building connections with artists, creatives and music industry professionals who share in our vision.
Owner and Manager of Artist Relations, Jessica Nicholson, is also a music and recording artist, music educator, producer, songwriter and entrepreneur. Her experience is vast, living with multiple disabilities and a single mother who continues to face multiple barriers while building her career and artistry.
It is a dream come true to build QLP!
We look forward to serving our community and beyond!
